Lowlands Tour

Overview

Colloquially called The Lowlands, the plains between the southern coast and the hilly interior are only sparsely populated these days, but in earlier ages they were thick with human activity, witnessing some of the most significant events of yesteryear. Just an hour's drive from both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, we will explore the Lowlands by visiting a series of sites in close proximity that tell the tales of past millennia. Some of these have been carefully preserved by the National Parks Authority, while others have yet to be recognized and restored to a state that befits their historic importance, but all of them hold fascinating stories that speak volumes about the human condition, and which shed light on even the most recent current events.
