This hotel has extensive deferred maintenance, cleaning and upkeep issues. The bathroom ceiling in room 132 filled with water from upstairs and the roof cracked and leaked all over the bathroom. We heard the water dripping about 8am on day of departure, but could not use the bathroom. So they gave us a key to room 135 (across the hall) and we had to use the bathroom/shower and get ready over there. It was a big interruption and extra inconvenience for our morning when trying to get ready and leave.
No restaurant or bar as they advertised. I ordered a suite so we would be more comfortable for our several days stay. My husband was having eye surgery & had doctor's appointments several days in a row; but only one easy chair & one desk chair - this is not acceptable for a suite. Was told by written notice in the room to put towels & washcloths needing replacement on the floor, but no room service, so why have us do that!!! No clock in room.
I booked 2 nights at the Wyngate by Wyndham in Mount Vernon, WA. When I returned to my room for my second night, all my clothing that had been hanging in the closet was wadded up on the bed along with my dirty clothes that had been on the closet floor. My first thought was that someone had broken into my room I was very disturbed & immediately looked through all my items I had left in the room to see if anything was missing. Nothing was missing & the room had been cleaned. I reported this to the front desk & was told it wouldn't happen again.
The hotel is older but recently changed ownership. It looks like it is being updated. Services were great. Loved the interior hallways but smelled a little musty. Breakfast was good. Location was easy to get to and from. Rooms were very nice.

Wingate bought the motel and it has gone significantly downhill. I would rank it with a Motel 6, or maybe worse.
