The Penn Wells Lodge room was located outside versus actually being in the Hotel. It was noisy at times with delivery trucks early in the morning. It was chilly, had to turn heat up high to heat the room. No heater in bathroom. It was clean. Location was perfect for walking in the beautiful town of Wellsboro. Breakfast buffet was really good, and great choices. Very clean in that area. Next time hope to choose a room inside the Lodge itself versus being outside.

The clerk at checkin was wonderful. She reviewed the hours for the complimentary breakfast and the pool. She also recommended local restaurants, that we throughly enjoyed. She is an asset to The Penn Wells Lodge! The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious!! As a former Holiday Inn employee, I enjoyed my stay. I would have liked a full length mirror in the room and a night light in the bathroom.

I had a room in a building that was not connected to the lodge so I had to enter the lodge from outside and the weather was cold. This is the first time I have had a room NOT WITHIN the lodge so my rating is lower for this experience.

Penn Wells Lodge was the prefect place for us to stay while exploring the surrounding state parks and local attractions. Wellsboro is such a charming town- perfect setting! Our suite was sparking clean and well stocked with soap, towels, etc. We appreciated the sitting and dining area in our suite - not to mention full size refrigerator/ freezer and microwave! We’re so thankful we elected Wellsboro and Penn Wells Lodge for our little get away! 😊
