We are not as young as we were and there is no real drop off area for luggage and guests in the street. It’s NYC so you expect that. What frosted us was the lack of transparency on the pricing. On the bill there was a Destination Fee. It was only $30 and when I inquired after the fact there was a list of items we never used including a $10 donation to the on site restaurant , fitness center - never used; a water refill station in the fitness center fior the reusable bottles - never used which we received upon check in in a canvas bag with Hyatt Logo on it. It was the most expensive canvas bag I ever bought. These items should have been aka carte or pointed out in the pricing. It is only $30 but it is the principle. Other properties don’t share this practice. My wife did not like the open architecture of the room which meant there was only a partition between the sleeping and bathroom areas. The street noise was much less than I expected but overall two stars is justified and I am. 4-5 star reviewer. For our minimal needs the staff was very attentive.
