Courtyard by Marriott Deptford

When I booked the room in August, internet was included in the price of the room. When I checked in to the facility for our five-night stay in November, the representative at the check-in desk said that there was a Marriott-implemented $15/night internet fee that she said "started about a week ago." The fact that Marriott did not honor the internet-included option when I booked through AAA, and added the fee afterward is disturbing to me. I heard from the General Manager of the Marriott facility via email. The manager did not appear to have read my review, because he referenced in his email a "parking fee" that I was unaware of. The fact that the manager referenced a parking fee, when I clearly wrote about an internet fee tells me the manager did not take the time to read my customer concerns before he reached out to me. I subsequently asked the manager for his boss' contact information and to this day, I never heard back from him. I checked my bill and she enough, there was also a parking fee that was listed as a "service charge" on the hotel bill. I booked this room through AAA, and there was no mention of a parking charge. So with the added internet fee and the parking charge, I lost my confidence in this facility and in the Marriott brand. So needless to say, I'll be seeking other accommodations next time.
