Campground Overview

Introduction

Three (3) loops, 52 site campground near the entrance to the monument. Two (2) sites for small groups up to 20 people. Abert's Squirrel Loop is first come, first serve only. Black Bear and Coyote Loops are available through reservation only. They can be reserved online at Recreation.gov.

Directions

From White Rock, New Mexico head west on NM 4 for 10 miles. Turn into park entrance and proceed past entrance station. Campground is accessed by the first road on the right.

Fires in provided fire pit only, gas stoves only.

Regulations Overview

-Generators may be used only from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. -Clean up your campsite before leaving. Food and trash left behind attracts wildlife. -Picnickers may use campsites for day use but must leave by 4:00 PM. -Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and are not allowed on any park trails. -Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. -Firewood collecting is not permitted within the park. -There is a limit of 2 tents, 2 vehicles, and 10 people per site. -Check-out time is 11:30 AM.

    There are 2 designated accessible campsites. Others may meet needs as well. Restrooms are fully accessible as well. Stairs and slopes are found in some locations but overall the campground is relatively flat. Pay phones are not available and cell service is very spotty. There are paved trails to the restroom in each loop.
