True to its name, Voodoo Authentica is one of the only shops in the French Quarter that’s fully owned and operated by voodoo practitioners, making it an authentic place to learn more about religion and spiritual crafts.

Voodoo Authentica is in the New Orleans French Quarter at 612 Dumaine St., a 5-minute walk from Jackson Square. The closest transit stop is just over a block away at Dumaine Street Station on the 49 Loyola Riverfront streetcar line. Though you can drive, note that parking and traffic can be challenging throughout the French Quarter.
When to get there
Voodoo Authentica is open daily from 11am–7pm, but the best time to visit is on Halloween when the shop hosts their annual Voodoo Fest event. This free festival is a great opportunity to learn more about the impact of Voodoo in New Orleans through workshops, speakers, and educational programming.
