St. Paul’s Square
Birmingham, West Midlands
Located at the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, St. Paul’s Square is famed for being one of the city’s very last remaining Georgian squares. Taking its name from the small church that sits as its center, visitors come here to relax on its benches, check out the architecture, or visit nearby restaurants and cafés.
The basics
St. Paul’s Square is a key stop for travelers on guided walking tours, many with distinct themes. Some focus on Birmingham’s canal area and its rich history, exploring Georgian, Victorian, and modern architectural influences, including landmarks such as Victoria Square, The Cube, and Birmingham Town Hall. Others delve into the city’s notorious gangs, offering a grittier perspective. For a more flexible experience, self-guided tours and scavenger hunt games are interactive ways to explore.
