Beside the factory, you’re able to buy chocolate from the brand’s neighboring retail shop. Raaka Chocolate often features on Brooklyn food tours and electric bike tours that often stop by to refuel with satisfying samples.

How to get there

Raaka Chocolate is at 58 Seabring Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The closest subway station is Carroll Street, served by the green G and orange F lines, which is a 20-minute walk. You can also take the B61 bus and disembark at Van Brunt St./Seabring St., just a few minutes away on foot.

When to get there

The Raaka Factory Shop is open Monday–Thursday from late morning until mid-afternoon, with slightly later closing on Friday through Sunday. Classes are typically hosted once or twice a week, but you’ll need to book in advance on the Raaka Chocolate website.

Where to find Brooklyn’s best sweet treats

If your sweet tooth still isn’t satisfied after a visit to Raaka Chocolate, then don’t worry—Brooklyn has plenty more where that came from. One of the most famous places is Milk Bar, a bakery and dessert shop that was featured on the Netflix show Chef’s Table. It’s most famous for its cereal milk ice cream, which you can get at one of its two Brooklyn locations.
