Las Vegas Convention Center

300 Convention Center Dr, Las Vegas, NV, 89109

Nothing in Vegas is modest—and this counts for the Las Vegas Convention Center, as well. This sprawling space spans millions of square feet, making it one of the largest—and busiest—convention centers in the world. Here you can see trade shows, live performances, sporting events, and much more.

The basics

Las Vegas Convention Center lies just far enough from central Vegas that you’re only likely to visit if it’s hosting something that you’d like to see. The center has a relatively large number of events annually, such as rodeo shows, trade exhibits, electronic music festivals, and massive New Year’s Eve parties. Visitors typically arrive independently and how long you spend there will depend on what you’re seeing.

Things to know before you go

  • The center has full-service kitchens, restaurants, concessions stands, and a café.

  • The center has accessible parking, restrooms, and elevators, and can accommodate requests for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. There’s also a wheelchair accessible elevator and lectern.

  • The Vegas Loop provides transportation for attendees across the convention center campus.

How to get there

Located just off the Las Vegas Strip, the Las Vegas Convention Center is easily accessible by car, public transportation, or shuttle services from nearby hotels. If driving, take the Sahara Avenue exit from the I-15 freeway. The Las Vegas Monorail connects the Strip to the convention center, running every 4–5 minutes. The Deuce buses also serve the center.

When to get there

The Las Vegas Convention Center hosts events year-round, with peak seasons occurring during the fall and spring months. Check the event calendar on the official website to plan your visit around specific conferences or events.

How big is the Las Vegas Convention Center?

Local and frequent visitors to Vegas will know that the Las Vegas Convention Center isn’t the only center of its kind in Sin City, but it’s easily the largest. Coming in at about 2,900,000 square feet (270,000 square meters), it’s roughly a third larger than the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, and more than twice as large as the Venetian Expo.
