Located in Dubai Mall, KidZania Dubai is an educational theme park where kids can learn about different professions, money, and the real world in a safe, interactive, and fun environment. A kid-size scaled replica of a real city, KidZania Dubai offers more than 60 real-life role-playing activities that teach kids important life skills.
The Basics
The 2-story, 75,347-square-foot (7,000-square-meter) indoor facility comes complete with an airport, hospital, banks, vehicles, race track, streets, shops, and economy. Kids can try out a variety of jobs and professions, such as chef, construction worker, firefighter, pilot, police officer, and surgeon. They can earn money (KidZos), open a bank account, learn to drive, and more. Most activities either cost or earn KidZos, which can be used to pay for additional activities or purchase items from the gift shop.
Purchase an economy day pass, or upgrade to a premium pass to get two Fast Track passes (good for skip-the-line access for certain activities). Annual passes are also available. Admission to KidZania Dubai is also included as part of some multiattraction Dubai sightseeing passes.
Things to Know Before You Go
KidZania Dubai is ideal for kids aged 4 to 10.
Parents must stay in the building if their children are under 47 inches tall (120 centimeters tall).
Parents are not allowed inside areas where activities take place.
Outside food and drinks are not permitted; food options are available inside.
Lockers and charging stations are available.
Free Wi-Fi and TV are available in the parent’s lounge on the upper floor.
How to Get There
KidZania Dubai is located in the entertainment area of Dubai Mall, on the second floor. Those driving should park at “Cinema Parking” on P7. Taxis are an easy and plentiful option, or take the Dubai Metro (red line) to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station.
When to Get There
KidZania Dubai is open daily, with slightly extended hours during the weekend (Thursday and Friday). It can get busy on weekends and during the afternoons, so visit in the morning, during the week, to minimize wait times.
Kid-Friendly Attractions in Dubai Mall
In addition to KidZania Dubai, Dubai Mall offers a number of kid-friendly attractions and activities. Families can visit the Dubai Mall Aquarium & Underwater Zoo; Dubai Dino, an almost 25-foot-tall (7.6-meter-tall) dinosaur skeleton; Dubai Ice Rink; Hysteria, a frightening “haunted” attraction; Reel Cinemas; and VR Park.
