POINT OF INTEREST

Hollywood Guinness World Records Museum

6764 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90028

On the Hollywood Walk of Fame is the official museum of superlatives: the Guinness World Records Museum. Here, you'll find the smallest, longest, heaviest, and largest of just about anything. An interactive, family-friendly attraction, the museum encourages visitors to see how they compare to record-breakers across the globe.

The basics

At times inspiring, puzzling, and unbelievable, the Guinness World Records Museum wows with record-breaking stories and facts covering topics ranging from pop culture to technology and animals. Can you break a record? This museum encourages you to try! Attempt to beat the highest score on games and activities such as the world’s largest Pac-Man, “stand next to” the world’s tallest man, see how your vocal cords stack up against the world’s loudest scream, and more.

Things to know before you go

  • Children 3 and under can visit for free.
  • Directly across the street is the Hollywood Wax Museum. See both and get a price break with a discount combination ticket.
  • Groups of 15 or more are eligible for discounted tickets.

How to get there

The Guinness World Records Museum is located on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard. The closest metro stop is at Hollywood and Highland (across the street), where there is also plenty of underground parking for those with a car.

When to get there

The Guinness World Records Museum makes for a fun visit any time of year—and thanks to it being an indoor attraction, it is also a good place to be on rainy or hot summer days. The museum is open daily from 9am to midnight.

Steps away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Guinness World Records Museum is located in the heart of Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard. This is a busy and fun area, with the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame just steps away. Pop across the street to the Hollywood Wax Museum, and you can pick up a free pamphlet that lays out the location of 2,638 stars. It includes nearly every star on the Walk of Fame through June 2018, when the guide was last updated.
