Gadong Night Market is in the vibrant Gadong district of Bandar Seri Begawan, 3 miles (5 kilometers) from the center via Jalan Gadong Road. It’s a 12-minute drive or you can call a ride using the Brunei rideshare app, Dart.

When to get there

The market is open from late afternoon to night throughout the week. Because alcohol is illegal in Bandar Seri Begawan, it’s one of the few attractions open late into the evening—but since the capital loves a karaoke bar, you’ll find plenty of those open late in the vicinity of the market.

Gadong Night Market is in the same district as The Mall, one of the city’s premier shopping destinations. Here, you’ll find several floors of stores selling everything from traditional Malay clothes to electrical items in a modern, mirrored building. It’s also home to a food court serving hot and cold traditional dishes and sweet treats.
