POINT OF INTEREST

Downtown Container Park

707 E. Fremont St., Las Vegas, NV, 89101

Downtown Container Park is an open-air shopping and entertainment destination made from stacked shipping containers. Here, visitors can explore a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options—including boutiques, bars, a kids’ playground, a stage for live music, and even a dance studio. However, one of its most memorable and photoworthy attractions is a giant flame-throwing praying mantis sculpture that speaks 20 different languages.

The basics

The 1-acre (0.5-hectare) site is known for its one-of-a-kind shops, with an emphasis on local businesses with diverse offerings. Art, restaurants, bars, and a gelato shop round out what’s on offer. With its Fremont Street location, the park is close to other downtown attractions and hotels, making it easy to stop by for a bite to eat or a breather from the casinos. For a guided experience, various tours make a stop at the park, including food tours, historical walking tours, Segway tours, and bar crawls.

Things to know before you go

  • Only adults over 21 years are allowed in the park after 9pm.
  • Kids under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have a valid high school ID before 9pm.

You can visit Downtown Container Park independently while exploring Fremont Street and the downtown Las Vegas area. The park offers a respite from the casinos, and you should plan to spend at least an hour browsing among the more than 40 businesses and outdoor dining options.
