Stone Mountain

Stone Mountain is the largest exposed granite dome in North America. It's composed of quartz monzonite and its peak reaches 825 feet above sea level and provides expansive views of nearby cityscapes.

The most well-known feature at Stone Mountain is the Confederate Memorial Carving, which was finally completed in 1972. The carving portrays Generals Robert E. Lee, Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson and Jefferson Davis on horseback. Beside the monument is a museum detailing the history of the Confederacy during the Civil War and its aftermath.

Centennial Olympic Park

Centennial Olympic Park is a massive public park located in downtown Atlanta. It was originally constructed for the 1996 Summer Olympics as part of an effort to revitalize and transform the city. It now serves as a popular tourist destination with attractions such as the Fountain of Rings, the famous interactive fountain which sprays water jets choreographed to music and the Centennial Olympic Games Museum.
