Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport

There was a heavy cover of dust on table and tv …and I’m allergic to dust. The furniture all looked old and worn. The bed was very clean and the bathroom was the cleanest I’ve ever been in. Also well supplied. The worst was on the morning we were leaving, we wanted to sleep in but there was a lot of pounding and a net came down in front of our window! There were women and a few men rolling wheelbarrows up a plank to dump roof shingles into a dumpster and then try to roll back down again. Then the net fell off and shingles and metal flashing started hitting our window. We talked to the front desk who said they had no idea they were replacing the roof that day. They did refund us $50 which we appreciated. We just wish we knew there was going to be construction going on so we could have made other arrangements.

Nice hotel and well kept and clean!!! I would certainly stay here again!! Close enough to the airport terminal, that I could walk to it if I needed to!!

The room appeared to be clean, however, the desk area looked as though it had been used as a staging area for some gluing project. The chair needs good cleaning. The heat-a/c control had been removed with no indication of how to control the temperature. Not even a bottle of water in the fridge. The facility is undergoing a remodel and some services are not available, but the cost reflects full service.

Very thoughtful night staff. Two minutes to the airport. Restaurant breakfast is disappointing. A safety bar placed in the bathroom made no sense since it was inaccessible. It is clean and convenient.
