Zota Beach Resort is a great beach getaway. With a tagline of “find your zen at Zota,” we enjoy our respite in their modern and comfortable accommodations. Using AAA for booking, we get a special Florida Resident rate. Additionally, staying on a Sunday and Monday nights avoids weekend crowds. The Resort gives a complimentary upgrade to a Junior Suite on this stay. The Suite features a sitting area with an L-shaped couch and small dining area. A welcoming balcony overlooks the pool and Gulf of Mexico. Adjacent to the separate bedroom with comfy king bed is a large bathroom with a fantastic shower. It has a beautiful infinity pool, hot tub and beautiful beach on the Gulf of Mexico. On this visit we had rainy clouds for much of our visit. We still enjoy the resort - the fitness center, the room and eventually the pool, hot tub and beach. The staff was helpful and courteous. We like that is not a HUGE resort where pools and beaches can be crowded. Zota has a cozier feel although it is not a small facility. We had stayed previously and now prefer it to other resorts on Longboat Key.
