Super 8 Ithaca

Very adequate utilitarian room close to groceries & other shopping on very busy Meadow St. (No traffic noise in my room). Because of staffing shortages, there was no daily cleaning. This was not a problem for me. The problem I had involved my repeated requests for late checkout, followed by unwarranted, rude, and threatening behavior by a cleaning crew supervisor. She claimed she was the only person working and would not tolerate my request for a slightly late departure . (Yet at 11:15 she & four other workers were having a cigarette break at the picnic table). It was not a pleasant check out experience. I know the Ithaca area very well and know that when student return in the fall, local accommodations are overfill. So I guess that chains like Super8 don’t care about losing customers.
