It started when we tried to check in and they require a early check in fee of $20. Even if the room was ready, which it was, we had to come back later to avoid the fee. Then when we did get our room, we went to wash up at the sink and discovered there stopper in the sink didn't work, it just stayed closed. [how could they clean a bathroom when the sink was not working. They called the mechanic and he had to go to the hardware store to get the part to fix it. I offered to go to another room, but they wanted us to wait till he got back. It took over a half hour before we could settle in our room. They offered us a $50 adjustment. Now comes the unsettling part. When we checked out, there was a $20 charge for the maintenance of the sink which was there issue, not ours and while it showed a $50 credit, my credit card was charged the $20 and there was no $50 credit. When I asked about the discrepancy I was told it will be reflected on my credit card. I waited two days and there was still no credit. I called and they FINALLY put the credit through for both the $20 and the $50. I believe he was hoping that I would forget about it. This was a unprofessional way to run a hotel. It will be a long time before I stay at a choice hotel again. Just to add, I stayed at different hotels for the following eight days and none of them required an early fee. If the room was reeady, they told us and we just went back later.

The room was small & the floor was really spongy, felt like your foot would fall through

Just an average room ,mentioned when we booked it was our 50th wedding anniversary. They said cant upgrade but would get a nicer room? Since we stayed only 3 nights they said no housekeeping so we just piled the bath towels on the floor & took out our trash!
