I had stayed at this La Quinta before and could neither complain nor rave about it. It was very adequate for the price. This stay was different. The bathroom sink had only a few inches of countertop around it. I wouldn’t have given a bad review for that. But the last night of my stay I returned to the hotel about 7:30p from spending the day with family. I had to get up at 4:00 the next morning. I found lots of children ages 9-12 in the dining area off the lobby. I asked the clerk what was going on and was told there was a children’s party. Then I heard children screaming coming from the pool, which was very near my room. I asked the clerk to stop the children from screaming because I had to go to bed soon. She said she couldn’t do anything because the party was booked until 10:00. About 9:30 I had to tell 2 men in the weight room right next door who were helping their young boys with the weight machines that the crash of the weights came through the wall to my room. They said they could use the room until 10:00. I was astounded that any hotel would allow a dozen or more children the run of the facilities even during the day, much less until 10 at night.. Obviously La Quinta Inn doesn’t care about a peaceful stay for its guests. Stay there at your own peril.
