Hotel Silver Spring

The room felt dingy and outdated. Some things that were of issue: The room phone did not work. The bathroom door’s handle was broken, like the lock did not work and the handle was stuck turned, and the wood around the handle was exposed as if someone had broken the door? There was also a weird drip of liquid from the room door to the peephole, not sure what that was but was too disgusted to find out. Also the walls are Incredibly thin. We were able to clearly hear entire conversations outside our room at 9am and were woken up to the disturbingly clear sound our neighbors having (redacted) at 4am. The room’s temperature seemed fine night 1, but night 2, the temperature was set to 60° but was blowing hot air. We were literally sweating, but decided to just stick it out since we’d be checking out in the morning. Overall, the stay wasn’t very pleasant, and the experience just did not live up to other Hilton brand hotels we have experienced.

I liked the valet parking, but was not warned about the $28 per day charge when I made the reservation.
