Holiday Inn Resort Galveston -On the Beach

Being on Seawall Blvd facing the beach is great, but pricey, and what you receive for that price isn't always what you would expect. The hotel is dated, the showerhead leaks, the faucet drips, the elevators are always full, but most of that is forgotten by that VIEW from the balcony, which you could stare at all day. And the pleasant staff who were always courteous and quick to answer any question or get you what you needed. Something new to me was the text I received from the staff each day asking if I needed anything. I liked it! So all and all I was where I wanted to be, staring at the beach and just a walk across the street to touch the sand..........but not at spring break next time. Or at least a little further down from the main crowd. And be sure and ask for the upper floors!!

Was a very nice place. Employees we very friendly and made sure we didn’t need anything quit often by texting us. Only negative we had was the handicap shower in our room. You couldn’t use it without soaking the whole bathroom floor. Probably could have changed rooms but it was just for one night. Next time we have a cruise that leaves from Galveston or Houston will try to stay here.

Great service from an aging hotel. Storm blew rain onto the only hallway to the elevators making our walk perilous. Can no longer take a chance.

Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, great breakfast, convenient location to the beach, lovely pool. Parking close to the hotel and we plan another stay soon.
