We stayed at two more expensive hotels on this vacation but the Econolodge was my favorite. While not in historic downtown Durango, it was walkable and pleasant along the Animas River path. The Durango trolley stopped nearby during the day and parking was free and available downtown at night. Breakfast was fine -even hot waffles but low key. Hot tub was nice at the end of the day.
