Drift Santa Barbara

The hotel is conveniently located on state street and very aesthetically pleasing. Room was very clean, fixtures are high end, super comfy bed, and awesome bath products. Room layout is a little awkward but not the worst (sink is in the bedroom and toilet/tub/shower are separate) and the lighting isn't great especially by the only mirror located above the sink. The text line was easy to use and I was able to get a makeup mirror delivered so I could get ready by the windows. The coffee at dawn was also amazing. The state street view premium room seems to be one of the larger rooms on the property but it's going to come with a MAJOR disadvantage in that it is located directly across from a bar that blasts edm/techno up until 2am. We couldn't even hear our tv the music was so loud. I know there isn't a lot they can do about the bar across the street, but I do think there absolutely needs to be more transparency in the noise levels you'll encounter when booking the state street view premium room. For $300+ a night it doesn't seem right to not be totally honest with your patrons. I would consider staying here again but would not recommend a state street room unless you can sleep like an absolute rock.
