Flamenco Dance Museum (Museo del Baile Flamenco)

Calle Manuel Rojas Marcos 3, Seville

Situated in a renovated 18th century building, the Flamenco Dance Museum (Museo del Baile Flamenco) is one of Seville’s most important cultural touchstones. Here, you can attend a live flamenco performance and also learn about the history of the dance form at an interactive museum—an immersive experience you won’t find at other venues.

The Flamenco Dance Museum, which is overseen by renowned flamenco dancer and choreographer Cristina Hoyos, is a unique venue for exploring the history and artistry of Flamenco dance and music. The venue hosts four performances per night (all choreographed by Hoyos) which highlight flamenco’s traditional dances, from alegrías to tangos.

In the museum, visitors can also explore exhibits focused on the history of flamenco and its regional styles on an independent visit or as part of a multilingual guided tour. You can combine a visit to the museum and a flamenco show by purchasing combo tickets in advance.

  • Plan to spend about an hour exploring the museum’s exhibits.

  • Performances at the Flamenco Dance Museum last one hour.

  • Children under the age of 6 can visit the museum for free.

  • The Flamenco Dance Museum is wheelchair accessible.

The Flamenco Dance Museum is conveniently located in Seville’s old town, just a five-minute walk from the Cathedral. Most travelers find it easiest to walk to the venue. Alternatively, you can take the C5 bus to Jesús de las Tres Caídas, which is a two-minute walk from the museum.

The Flamenco Dance Museum is open from 10am to 7pm daily; last entry is at 6:15pm. Flamenco shows are held four times a night, at 5pm, 7pm, 8:45pm, and 10:15pm, in Seville’s high season only. Check the schedule if you are visiting during a low season, and book admission tickets in advance to guarantee entry.

Given the Flamenco Dance Museum’s convenient location in the center of Seville, there’s plenty for travelers to do nearby. You can combine a trip to the museum with a visit the Seville Cathedral (the world’s largest Gothic church), the Real Alcázar, the Museo de Bellas Artes, and other popular attractions. Some city tours provide a hassle-free itinerary that will take you to many of the above attractions.
