The Talladega Division contains two wildlife management areas: 39,320-acre Choccolocco in the northern portion and 31,943-acre Hollins in the southern portion. Also in the Talladega Division is the Pinhoti Trail system, which traverses the highest terrain in Alabama, providing a 145-mile hike through rugged but scenic country between the towns of Piedmont and Sylacauga. The trail connects through Georgia to the Appalachian trail by way of a road walk. Several miles of marked side trips and loop trails branch off the main trail. Also within this division is the Cheaha Wilderness, comprising 7,245 acres and the 9,200-acre Dugger Mountain Wilderness. Warden Station Horse Camp offers 43 miles of scenic trails. The 23-mile Kentuck ORV Trail is used by ATV enthusiasts. The Sylaward Mountain Bike Trail, near Sylacauga, provides 14 miles of hills and thrills.
The Talladega Scenic Drive runs through 23 miles of the forest, following the crest of Horseblock Mountain along SR 281.
