Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve is a freshwater estuary on Lake Erie. The 573-acre site protects a variety of habitats, including marshes, swamps, a forest and a barrier beach and is home to a variety of fish and waterfowl. The reserve offers more than 2 miles of pedestrian trails, an observation deck, nature programs and nature exhibits. The trails and beach are open daily dawn-dusk, and the visitor center is open Tues.-Fri. 9-4 year-round and also weekends 1-5, Apr.-Sept.
