The Sebastopol Farmers Market is the perfect place to sample Sonoma County's agricultural bounty. Local farmers sell seasonal organic produce—including hard-to-find specialties like stone fruit and Amagaki persimmons—locally produced cheeses, honey, jams and hummus, and flowers and baked goods. Food vendors dish up Indian and Mediterranean treats, and you can grab the requisite to-go coffee at the Run Around Brew truck. A separate crafts section is always interesting to browse for jewelry, African handwoven baskets and pottery. There's also live music. This small but lively market has a quintessential NorCal hippie vibe. It sets up at the downtown plaza on Weeks Way (across from Whole Foods) Sundays from 10-1:30, year-round.
