Hilton Garden Inn

Only one working elevator. Difficult to open room door. Substantial charge for breakfast. Children running in halls and playing games in halls at night.

The hotel was undergoing work and renovation during our stay. However, the room was clean and the staff was super nice. The price was probably discounted because of the work being done in the facility.

I really enjoyed the check-in process, but when my husband and I went to get breakfast; staff asked for a ticket as she should have, but when we weren't aware of the $24.00 fee, due to us booking from a 3rd party, I was disappointed, and asked the clerk how we should have known when we were never told. It was if we had done something wrong; when I advised that we were told what time breakfast was, but never advised that we would have to pay. I feel the clerk should have been more patient, but it was as if we were wrong for asking. Poor customer service, but really nice quiet hotel. Just make sure that you ask if breakfast is included, and even if we were 3rd party, the majority of the fee came to that establishment. We didn't eat breakfast there, and the food looked really great. Clerk's probably should be better trained with check-in process, especially those customers that use a 3rd party agency for bookings!!!!!

Rooms were small and sub-par for the brand and value. They seemed more like a college dormitory than a hotel room. They advertise having a bar/lounge which is nothing more than a corner off the front desk where breakfast is served. It is only set up for a few hours every evening. This was a selling point for us which is poorly portrayed.
