The AAA StartSmart program helps families get through the crucial period when teens are learning to drive. A series of newsletters helps you identify the challenges you and your teen will face and how to work as a team to reduce risk.

Once you sign up, you will receive a series of e-newsletters focused on topics related to teen driver safety and parent involvement. You will also have access to the Parent-Teen Driving Agreement - which when followed has shown to reduce risky teen driving behavior. AAA StartSmart consists of 18 newsletters addressing topics such as:

• Driving at night
• Conducting supervised driving
• Distractions
• Using a Parent-Teen Driving Agreement

You should sign up if your teen (A) already has his/her Learner’s Permit, or (B) is within 2 months of receiving his-her Learner’s Permit.
